Arkema starts up emulsion polymers plant in China

Arkema has announced the startup of a 60,000-m.t./year emulsion polymers facility at the company's Changshu, China manufacturing complex. The plant produces a full lline of water-based emulsion polymers used as binders for coatings and additives in architectural, building, and construction applications, Arkema says. The project required an investment of $30 million. Products made at the new plant include Arkema's Encor acrylic and styrene acrylic latexes, SNAP nano-acrylic polymers, Celocor opaque polymers, and Encor Flex elastomeric...
