Regions :: North America :: U.S. Uralkali Settles U.S. Potash Antitrust Claims1:07 PM MDT | September 24, 2012 | Ian Young Potash producer Uralkali (Berezniki, Russia) says it has settled its part of a U.S. antitrust lawsuit that alleges price fixing of potash. The agreements were signed with direct and indirect plaintiffs for $10 million and $2.75 million, respectively, and will come into effect after final approval from the U.S. Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Potash consumers brought the class-action lawsuit in U.S. federal courts in September 2008 against Uralkali and Belarusian Potash (BPC; Minsk), as well as potash producers Belaruskali (Minsk)...
