Tronox Expects to Close Exxaro Deal on June 15

Tronox says it expects to close on its acquisition of the mineral sands business of Exxaro Resources on June 15, 2012. Tronox says both companies have satisfied all of the remaining conditions required to close the deal. Exxaro will receive about 38.5% of voting securities of Tronox, in exchange for its mineral sands business. After the deal, Tronox will employ 3,500 workers in 16 countries, including the U.S., South Africa, Australia, and the Netherlands.
