Toyo awarded FEED contract for Sasol’s Lake Charles polyethylene plant

Toyo Engineering (Narashino, Japan) says it has been awarded a contract by Sasol to provide front-end engineering design (FEED) services for a previously announced 450,000-m.t./year linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant, which will be part of Sasol’s planned petrochemical complex at Lake Charles, LA. Sasol is planning a world-scale ethane cracker with downstream derivatives at its Lake Charles site and has selected the Univation's Unipol PE Process for the new LLDPE...
