Synalloy acquires manufacturing facility

Synalloy has acquired the production and business assets, including a plant in South Carolina, of Color Resources (CRI; Spartanburg, SC), for a total purchase price of $4.55 million. The price includes $3.45 million for a 135,000–sq foot facility with manufacturing, warehousing, and research capabilities and $1.1 million for equipment and accounts. CRI’s operations will continue as CRI Tolling, a part of Synalloy’s specialty chemicals division. The division makes defoamers, surfactants, and lubricants, mostly for industrial customers. CRI...
