Solazyme and Mitsui ink tailored oils development deal

Algal oils firm Solazyme (San Francisco) and Mitsui & Co. today announced a $20-million, multi-year partnership aimed at developing triglyceride oils for use in the oleochemical industry.  The agreement also calls for the joint development of Solazyme's myristic algal oil, a valuable oleochemical industry raw material.
