Solazyme and Bunge to triple size of renewable oils joint venture

Renewable oils firm Solazyme and agribusiness giant Bunge have signed a framework agreement to expand the global production capability of their tailored oils joint venture from the 100,000 m.t./year facility under construction in Brazil to 300,000 m.t. of annual capacity. The capacity will be added at select Bunge facilities, although the locations and projected cost were not disclosed.
