SAFC Targets Low Single-Digit Growth

Sigma-Aldrich Fine Chemicals (SAFC) is targeting low single-digit growth for 2009, president Gilles Cottier told an audience at a press briefing in New York late last month. SAFC’s sales declined 5% in the first quarter to $135.6 million. Cottier: Trimming labor costs. The fine chemical market will be “flat, at best, and probably decline” this year, Cottier says.
