Report: Huntsman close to buying Rockwood TiO2 business

Rockwood is in negotiations to sell its Sachtleben titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigments business to Huntsman for $1 billion to $1.2 billion, according to a Reuters report. A deal could be reached within days, the report adds. It is currently unclear whether the potential deal includes Rockwood’s performance additives business, which was reportedly packaged with the TiO2 business in an unsuccessful sale process earlier this year.
