Producers, EPA agree on environmental monitoring for siloxane D4

Five members of the Silicones Environmental, Health, and Safety Center (SEHSC) of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the US EPA have agreed on the environmental monitoring of the siloxane D4, an intermediate in the production of silicone polymers, says ACC. The program will support EPA’s assessment of the environmental risk associated with D4, also known as octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane.
