PolyOne acquires glass and carbon fiber manufacturer

Newlin: Broadening in specialties. PolyOne has announced plans to acquire Glasforms (Birmingham, AL)—a manufacturer of glass- and carbon fiber–reinforced polymers and advanced composite products—for $34 million. The company says the acquisition will fit into its specialty portfolio and will be its entry into the advanced composite materials market.
