OCI Partners acquires ammonia storage capacity at Beaumont from Lucite

Methanol and ammonia maker OCI Partners has acquired a 20,000-m.t. ammonia tank from Lucite International for additional on-site ammonia storage capacity at Beaumont, TX. OCI, the parent of OCI Partners, is the largest merchant methanol producer in the United States with annual production capacities of approximately 730,000 m.t. of methanol and approximately 265,000 m.t. of ammonia. The company is in the early stages of a debottlenecking project at Beaumont that will increase methanol production capacity by 25%, to approximately 912,500 m.t./year, and ammonia...
