Nippon Sheet Glass sells soda ash stake back to FMC

Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG; Tokyo) has sold its 6.25% stake in FMC Wyoming, which contains most of FMC's soda ash and alkali operations, back to FMC for $80 million, NSG says. NSG acquired the stake in the business in 1995 to gain access to soda ash, a key glass raw material. FMC’s soda ash operations are based in Green River, WY.
