NPIL and Napo Codevelop Drug

Napo Pharmaceuticals (San Francisco) and Nicholas Piramal India Ltd. (NPIL; Mumbai) say they have entered into a plant-screening agreement to discover novel therapeutic compounds for treating diabetes. NPIL will use its screening facility and natural product chemistry expertize, along with its biological testing capabilities, to identify active compounds from Napo’s library of medicinal plant extracts from tropical regions.
