NIH study links fertility problems to exposure to persistent chemicals

A recent National Institutes of Health (NIH) study links a longer time to pregnancy to couples who have been exposed to certain persistent chemicals, including polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) or perfluorochemicals. The researchers say their findings suggest a link between these pollutants and pregnancy delay, but also say they cannot rule out the possibility that some of the delays were the result of exposure to multiple chemicals.
