Major Corporations Form Advocacy Group to Curb Climate Change

BP, DuPont, General Electric, and seven other major corporations say they have formed the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP), a coalition that will lobby lawmakers to enact “a policy framework for mandatory reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from major emitting sectors, including large stationary sources, transportation, and energy use in commercial and residential buildings.” The group includes Environmental Defense (New York) and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC; Washington), as well as the Pew Center on Global Climate...
