LyondellBasell to Join the S&P 500 Index

LyondellBasell Industries will replace Sears Holdings in the S&P 500, a stock index of 500 large-capitalization U.S. stocks, after the close of trading on Tuesday, September 4, according to Standard & Poor’s (S&P). S&P says that Sears’s public float has been well below the 50% threshold for inclusion for an extended period of time and is no longer considered representative of the index.
