Louisiana site selected for potential $1.2-billion urea complex

AM Agrigen Industries (Dover, DE) has selected a site in St. Charles Parish, LA, to develop a potential $1.2-billion plant to manufacture granulated urea, the company says. Agrigen would produce urea for agrobusiness customers in domestic and overseas markets. Feasibility studies on the project are under way, and the company expects to make a final investment decision in the first quarter of 2015.
