Liveris elected chairman of US Business Council

Dow Chemical chairman and CEO Andrew Liveris was elected chairman of the Business Council (Washington), an organization comprised of US CEOs that advises the government on business practices. Liveris was elected for a 2-year term beginning January 2013 and will succeed Jamie Dimon, current chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase. Members of the organization meet three times a year to discuss public policy and economic issues relevant to the members’ business with government officials and other leaders in education, science, and technology.
