LCY terminates merger agreement with Kraton

Kraton Performance Polymers today announced that on 8 August, it received notice from LCY Chemical (Taipei) that LCY has terminated their merger agreement following the Kraton board's 6 August withdrawal of its recommendation that Kraton's stockholders approve the agreement. Plans for Kraton's merger with the styrenic block copolymer (SBC) operations of LCY were first announced on 28 January and would have created a leading worldwide manufacturer of SBC, with more than $2 billion in annual revenue.
