Growth in Asia Boosts Sales Sales at industrial gases firms are expected to grow in the mid-single digits in 2007, analysts say. Asia will be the big driver, with double-digit growth expected, while North American growth could be slightly slower than the historical 1.3 times industrial production, says Kevin McCarthy, analyst at Banc of America Securities (New York). The largest growth opportunities for industrial gases makers are in hydrogen, particularly for its use in energy and healthcare, analysts say.
