Eastman to expand 2-EH capacity at Longview

Eastman Chemical Company (Kingsport, TN) plans to increase capacity for the production of 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) at its Longview, TX, site by 20,000 m.t./year. The company expects to complete the project, which will bring the site’s total 2-EH capacity to 57,000 m.t./year, in the fourth quarter. To support the expansion, Eastman will also be increasing Longview’s capacity for the production of precursor butyraldehyde by 25,000 m.t./year....
