EU and FTC Clear Wacker's Polymer JV Acquisitions

Wacker Chemie (Munich) says it has received clearance from the European and U.S. antitrust authorities to acquire full ownership of two joint ventures with Air Products and Chemicals, Air Products Polymers (APP) and Wacker Polymer Systems (WPS). Wacker announced in December that it will buy Air Products' 65% stake in APP and Air Products' 20% share in WPS. Wacker says it expects the two units to be fully integrated by yearend.
