DuPont signs deal with Taiwanese firm for microcrystalline cellulose

DuPont Nutrition & Health is expanding its microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) offering through an extended agreement with Mingtai Chemical (Bade City, Taiwan), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of MCC. The agreement includes development, production, distribution, marketing, and sale of the hydrocolloid to the global food industries. Danisco, in 2009, partnered with Mingtai to develop MCC products for the food industry, and the deal added MCC to Danisco’s Grindsted line of hydrocolloids.
