DuPont files suit against SunEdison over solar-paste patent

DuPont has filed a patent infringement suit in US court in Delaware alleging that SunEdison has violated the company’s patent on using tellurium in front-side silver solar pastes. The suit also identifies Neo Solar Power (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Fextronics (Somerset, NJ) as SunEdison’s suppliers. Samsung SDI front-side solar pastes using tellurium-oxide solids were used in the manufacture and assembly of solar modules for SunEdison by Neo and Flextronics, DuPont says.
