DuPont Forms Kevlar Alliance

DuPont Advanced Fibers Systems (AFS) says it has agreed to form a partnership with SK Chemicals (Seoul) to jointly develop and produce materials made with DuPont’s Kevlar fiber. DuPont will contribute its material technology, while SK Chemicals lends its manufacturing capabilities and know-how to the alliance. “Demand is soaring” in Asia for the reinforcement and repair of buildings and houses, the companies say.
