Dow declares force majeure on VAM, Texas City plant remains offline (update)

Dow Chemical has declared force majeure (FM) on vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) produced at Texas City, TX, where the company’s 365,000-m.t./year VAM plant remains offline following a planned maintenance turnaround, says a company source. The company will issue a letter to customers by 3 July, the source says....
