Diamond Green Diesel biorefinery reaches full capacity

Diamond Green Diesel (DGD), a joint venture between Valero Energy (San Antonio) and Darling International (Irving, TX), has reached full capacity for the production of biodiesel, the company has announced. The plant has achieved nameplate continuous production of approximately 9,300 bbl/day of biodiesel. However, DGD determined that a heat exchanger must be replaced, to improve the plant's reliability under actual process conditions.
