DOE awards Materia  $2-million grant to improve hydrogen storage systems

Materia (Pasadena, CA), a catalyst firm with an exclusive license for Grubbs catalyst technology, announced today that it has been awarded a $2-million grant from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to apply its Proxima resin technology toward hydrogen storage tank manufacture. Proxima-based composites exhibit fracture toughness and fatigue performance superior to that of current state-of-the-art thermosets,Materia says.
