Cool Planet to build its first gasoline biorefinery in Louisiana

Cool Planet (Denver) will locate its first renewable gasoline refinery, with a capacity of 10 million gal/year, at Alexandria, LA, the company has announced. The biorefinery will serve as a showcase facility leading the way for hundreds of additional, small-scale biorefineries that Cool Planet plans to build across the United States, the company says. The company will also market biochar, a by-product of the refining process that will be used as an agricultural supplement to boost water retention and reduce carbon released from crops.
