Chemicals sector rail traffic falls 2.6%

Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 2.6% year-on-year during the week ended September 29, to 42,784 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 1%, to 31,105 cars. Canadian traffic was down 13.9%, to 10,267 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 19.1%, to 1,412 cars.
