Regions :: North America :: U.S. Chemicals sector rail traffic falls 1.2%5:33 PM MST | November 8, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America declined 1.7% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 3 November, to 39,705 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was down 1.2%, to 28,560 cars. Canadian traffic fell 5.1%, to 9,862 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 15.8%, to 1,283 cars. Traffic fell from the prior week’s totals.
