Regions :: North America :: U.S. Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Falls 3.5%1:19 PM MDT | September 28, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America fell 3.5% year-on-year (YOY) during the week ended 22 September, to 40,866 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). US traffic was down 1.3%, to 29,375 cars. Canadian traffic fell 11.7%, to 10,033 cars, while Mexican traffic was up 18.3%, to 1,458 cars. Total traffic in North America from the prior week's totals, despite rising in both US and Mexico.
