Calgon Carbon swings to a loss on charges

Calgon Carbon (Pittsburgh) swung to a net loss of $4.4 million for third-quarter 2012, compared to a net income gain of $14.5 million in the same quarter of 2011. An $8-million restructuring charge, plus a charge for the closure of the its manufacturing facility at Datong, China, impacted results for the quarter, the company says.
