CPChem advances Baytown NAO expansion plans

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) says it has completed a study for a normal alpha-olefin (NAO) capacity expansion at its Cedar Bayou complex, at Baytown, TX, and received approval for detailed engineering, design, and procurement of long-lead equipment. The previously announced project would increase NAO capacity by 20% and come online in the second quarter of 2015.
