Regions :: North America :: U.S. Braskem sells water, waste treatment assets for $318 million7:27 AM MST | January 4, 2013 | Kara Sissell Braskem has sold a water treatment affiliate and a majority stake in a waste treatment firm to Odebrecht Environmental (São Paulo) for a combined R652 million ($318 million), according to local reports. The assets are part of the Camaçari petrochemical complex in northern Brazil where Braskem produces polyolefins. Braskem late last month announced the sale of the assets, which includes water treatment concern Distribuidora de Aguas Camaçari, and a 54.2% stake in Cetrel, an industrial waste treatment firm.
