Biodiesel producer REG buys 50% stake in Louisiana biorefinery

Renewable Energy Group (REG; Ames, IA) has reached an agreement with Tyson Foods (Springdale, AR) to acquire Tyson's 50% ownership position in biorefinery Dynamic Fuels (Geismar, LA), the companies announced today. Completion of the transaction is contingent on the closing of REG's December 2013 agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Syntroleum Corp. (Tulsa, OK).
