BioAmber reports narrower third-quarter loss

BioAmber (Minneapolis), an industrial biotechnology company that produces renewable chemicals, reported a third-quarter net loss of $8.9 million—down from a net loss of $11.6 million year-over-year (YOY). Sales increased 83%, to $866,000. The company says it remains on track for mechanical completion of its 30,000-m.t. bio-succinic acid plant at Sarnia, ON in the fourth quarter of 2014—and has engaged AMEC Americas (Ontario) for detailed engineering and procurement services, and Alberici Constructors (St. Louis, MO) for construction management...
