BASF and Heritage Plastics form partnership to produce ecovio biopolymers

BASF says that it has formed a manufacturing partnership with Heritage Plastics (Picayune, MS) to produce ecovio-certified compostable products in North America. BASF’s ecovio products represent a range of compounded polymer solutions with biobased content. Heritage Plastics is a company focused on mineral-based polyolefin compounds and concentrates. The production of ecovio will begin this month at a Heritage Plastics facility at Picayune. The partnership enables BASF to begin manufacturing ecovio biopolymers outside of Europe to better serve its customers...
