BASF Signs Multimillion Dollar IP Deal

BASF says it has signed a three-year, multimillion dollar contract with BT Americas (New York), a business unit of British Telecommunications (London), under which BT will build and manage a wide-area network (WAN) service infrastructure for BASF’s North American operations. BT will turn BASF’s existing WAN infrastructure into an Internet Protocol (IP)-based network, which will enable BASF to “prioritize different types of traffic according to importance or need, and reduce its total cost of ownership,” BT...
