Antero to supply ethane to West Virginia cracker project

Antero Resources (Denver), an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the production of unconventional oil and liquids-rich natural gas in the Appalachian Basin in West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, announced today that it has signed an agreement to become the anchor ethane supplier for Odebrecht’s Appalachian Shale Cracker Enterprise (Ascent) petrochemical complex at Wood County, WV.  The project, announced 14 November of last year, includes an ethane cracker and three polyethylene plants.
