Strong Corn Demand to Yield Prosperous Year The market outlook for fertilizers in 2007 is positive, due to tightening grain supplies and rising grain prices, analysts say. This coming year will see higher-than-expected corn prices, and increased corn acreage, which is positive for fertilizer demand because corn is one of the most fertilizer-intensive crops, says Kevin McCarthy, analyst at Banc of America Securities (New York). Analysts predict corn prices will increase by 10 cts/bushel to a range of $2.90-$3.30/bushel for 2006-07, and corn acreage will increase...
