MACROECONOMIC STATUS Our running tab of positive indicators slipped by one to 14 out of 20 this week. Thus, we continue to post a green banner. Consumer prices down 0.2%; up 1.5% year-on-year (YOY) Housing starts up 7.0%; up 46.7% YOY Building permits down 3.9%; up 17.3% YOY Industrial production up 0.4%; up 3.5% YOY Capacity utilization up 0.2 points, to 78.5% LEI down 0.1%; up 1.7% YOY Empire State Mfg.
