Sigma-Aldrich beats estimates on higher sales

Sigma-Aldrich today reported third-quarter net income of $119 million, up 6% year-on-year (YOY), on sales up 4%, to $664 million. Adjusted earnings excluding some restructuring charges totaled $1.05/share, ahead of analysts’ consensus estimate of 99 cts/share, as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York).
