Univar acquires commodities distributor in Mexico

Univar says it has acquired Quimicompuestos (Monterrey, Mexico), a distributor of commodity chemicals in Mexico. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Quimicompuestos has relationships with more than 50 key suppliers and delivers in excess of 100 products to more than 4,500 customers across a variety of end-markets, the company says. "Quimicompuestos provides a strong commodity business with reach throughout Mexico and is a recognized leader in key industries driving the region's growth including oil and gas, and coatings and adhesives,"...
