Pemex's petchem production falls 7% in second quarter

Petróleos Mexicanos' (Pemex; Mexico City) petrochemical production fell by 7.1%, to 1.36 million m.t. during the second quarter compared with the same period last year, according to the latest company results. Pemex sold 1.03 million m.t. of petrochemical products during the second quarter, 2.2% down year-on-year (YOY). Petrochemical sales totaled peso586 million ($45 million), up 7.2% YOY.
