Regions :: North America :: Mexico Monsanto acquires select ag biotech assets from Agradis10:29 AM MST | January 30, 2013 | Kara Sissell Monsanto says it has purchased certain assets from privately held Agradis (San Diego), an agricultural biotechnology company firm formed in 2011 by Synthetic Genomics Inc (SGI) and Mexico-based investment firm Plenus. Monsanto says the acquisition includes the Agradis name and its collection of microbes aimed at improving crop productivity. Monsanto also has acquired an Agradis R&D site at La Jolla, CA, and a multiyear agricultural research agreement between Monsanto and SGI.
