Mexican Firms Eye Peruvian Complex

Mexican chemical executives met recently with Peru’s president Alan Garcia to discuss building chemical complexes that could attract $2 billion in investments, provided industry obtains a competitive natural gas price, according to local news reports. Executives from Grupo Alfa, Mexichem, and Idesa responded to a call by Garcia for industry to invest in Peru’s energy sector.
