ICA Fluor awarded contract to revamp VCM plant in Mexico

Fluor says that its ICA Fluor industrial engineering-construction joint venture with Empresas ICA has signed a contract with Petroquímica Mexicana de Vinilo, a jv between Mexichem (Tlalnepantla, Mexico) and Pemex (Mexico City), to revamp the vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant located within the Pajaritos petrochemical complex, near Veracruz, Mexico. The total contract value is about $205 million.
