Regions :: North America :: Mexico Chemicals Sector Rail Traffic Rises 3.2%4:27 PM MDT | November 3, 2011 | Vincent Valk Chemicals sector rail traffic in North America rose 3.2% year-on-year for the week ended October 29, to 42,096 cars, according to the Association of American Railroads (AAR; Washington). U.S. traffic was up 1.6%, to 30,047 cars. Canadian traffic rose 5.8%, to 10,870 cars, while Mexican traffic rose 26.1%, to 1,179 cars. Traffic increased from the prior week’s totals.
